Believe it or not I had the idea for this card last Halloween but wasn’t able to bring it to fruition, and like the true psycho I am, I had to make it happen this year! Lol… However it seems that this year it was even more meaningful as we were true beach bums this year so a beachy Halloween photo is truly perfect! I brought one of our favorite skeleton buddies, Fred, out to the beach and had him pose with my son’s Court & Cruz. Not only was I able to embarrass the heck out of them but I also got a killer photo for our card!
Without question the Bone Frame by Alexandra Cohn was the perfect choice for this year’s photo! It goes perfectly with Fred and the black and white cross bone print has the fun edgy touch I needed. Next I added checkered washi tape and black palm tree wax seals along with black and white ocean themed postage stamps. Ultimately we created Halloween cards that are totally us and I am obsessed with them!

Since our costumes were such a random collection of things ( Seagulls, disco ball and cotton candy makes for a wacky group! ) I wanted a card with a white frame. “Trick or Treat” in the Onyx color scheme by Hooray Creative was a great fit.
It gives room for the photos to have their moment while still clearly a halloween card with the bats! I particularly loved our envelopes, liners and address font this year. The scrawl like font brings halloween vibes and our little disco ball wax seals is a little hint to what’s inside!

The Liao family went with the “Ghostly” card by Pixel and Hank in the Graveyard color scheme.
It made for the perfect neutral back drop to the bright fun photos of the boys in their costumes. We were happy to include these cute kiddos in our cards this year as they took the most adorable photos at Alison’s pop up last year! How can you not smile looking at Mario & Luigi?!
“Ghostly” comes in 5 different color schemes with multiple different formats which makes it that much easier to make a truly custom halloween card. We paired theirs with these spooky spider wax seals to get in the Halloween spirit.
It’s sure to bring delight in your friends and family’s mailboxes!
