A year ago about this time we were throwing Cary’s wild one and his big sister Colette’s 3rd Shindig! It was a western affair for these two with all of their favorite friends gathering to celebrate. You may remember Colette’s 1st birthday that we did in the same spot a few years ago! This sweet and adorable family is always up for a good time and we love making magic for them. With this western theme we used fun colors, had an amazing backdrop moment, and lots of other fun treats for guests of every age to enjoy! As we did for Colette’s 1st birthday, we lead guests to our party spot with The Pop Shop balloons!
The cutest welcome sign design by Chelcea Creative was waiting for them at the end! Colette & Cary’s ranch was ready for them to giddyup and celebrate!
First when guests entered they saw our “grab your gear” station. There were cowboy hats, sheriff badges, and customized bandanas with each little guest’s name hand stitched on them. Such adorable favors and the perfect items to gear up and get in the mood!
Out yonder our set up continued! Sweet Salvage Rentals brought her sweet kid’s tables and chairs. Those blue chairs paired with the rustic table were perfect! We set the table with bamboo plates layered with navy and white plates. Fancy bamboo cutlery was added along with cowhide print cups and blue bandana napkins. Next we scattered antlers with Earth & Grace’s beautiful flower arrangements. Turned into the cutest little tables, don’t you think?

Of course a western lounge was necessary! You know, a place to put your boots up! Sweet Salvage Rentals always has the perfect pieces for each theme!
Indeed if you need a place to rest your boots, you need a place to wet your whistle! The watering hole was stoked with both adult and kid’s beverages!
Onto the fun stuff! A tan colored bouncy from What’s Bouncing fit in real nice! The Pop Shop added her balloons and the kids had the best time jumping around.
Along with all of our other pretty decor the backdrop was definitely the highlight! Goldie Crew Creative does it yet again creating that perfect photo moment. It’s the perfect little spot for a smash cake!
However, this dessert set up gave the backdrop a run for its money! We had cakes and cookies and plenty of sweet details for both kiddos. Colette’s name in rope and Cary’s in cowhide was the cutest touch!

In particular, these cookies from Really Cute Sweets are some of my favorite ever!! There’s just something about custom cookies, they are such a cute touch to any party!
Lastly we have the cakes! The day of we had to do some fixin’ to the cakes when we received them. Sometimes you are thrown curve balls at events. However, we managed to switch things up and make sure all was well for our beautiful dessert display!
Now, for the party!!! Cary and Colette are so loved and it shows in these photos! Not only did guests have fun but also they dressed to impress in their best western gear! Take a look…
Obviously we had to have horse rides at our cowboy & cowgirl party, it was a must!
Coupled with the sweetest little petting zoo with goats, chickens, pigs, ducks and more!
Clearly tons of fun was had!!
Finally, it’s time for Cary to have his moment!!! The smash cake is always fun, especially with a cutie like this!
Next it’s Colette’s turn!!!
