As we move on into summer we are more than ready for backyard dinner parties. They happen to be our favorite! This fresh & beautiful backyard table is inspired by citrus! When I saw the swoon worthy plates I knew I needed them in my collection. The pairing of orange and blue is such a fun combination and is the perfect pop for summer! This one is so gorgeous and in the most beautiful setting at the Swanner House. Pour a glass, pull up a chair and join us for a lovely evening!

All of our incredible events begin with an incredible invite! This one by Jessica Leigh Paperie is no exception! She combined the fun blue and orange colors with yellow and a brilliant stripe. Without a doubt this is one cheerful invite!
Before we dive into this prettiness lets talk about dining al fresco. It’s our favorite part about summer! Dining outside in a beautiful environment just like this. As you can see we set the table under amazing citrus trees behind the Swanner House and it’s breathtaking.
First things first, the plates that inspired it all! I spotted these beauties at Anthropologie and there was no turning back. Next I combined them with my Sur La Table placemats, plates, flatware, napkins and napkin rings. Another must have item from Anthropologie were the orange acrylic glasses which I used along with my own rattan glassware. Finally, the last piece to the puzzle is that striped tablecloth from Heather Taylor Home. Perfection if I do say so myself!
I pinned these adorable place cards & paper leaves from Jessica onto cuties. How “cute” is that?!
Equally as beautiful as our setting are these stunning flower arrangements! Krista from Not Just in Novels does it yet again. She even created citrus tower arrangements that saucy little minx!
Clearly the backdrop deserves some love! Goldie Crew Creative brought a simple set that packed a punch in color. Having Not Just in Novels add those pretty florals didn’t hurt. Truly such a pretty backdrop to our already beautiful table.
Furthermore did you notice Sweet Salvage Rentals new pretty peach chairs?! They look perfect at our table along with her gorgeous blue bar!!
Next are some tasty bites and sips! Just as citrus inspired our table it also inspired these treats! First are the sips. We have a carafe of orange juice along with a tasty sauvignon blanc. When I saw the label on that wine I knew it was perfect for our setting. Second is a yummy charcuterie board made by none other than Charcuterie Aboard. Lastly, dessert by Sheila Mae. A citrus cake and citrus cookies were the perfect way to finish it off!

In short, can we spend every summer evening just like this?! Is that really too much to ask?
