You may have noticed that we haven’t been doing as many recipes lately. That’s because our resident recipe guru Abby is taking a hiatus, therefore yours truly is taking over! I’m starting it off with a yummy and simple cocktail for Valentine’s Day! Clearly Valentine’s Day needs a pink cocktail. With that in mind I turned to one of my favorite flavors, Guava! This week we are saying cheers to love with a delicious sparkling guava Pink 75!

Inspired by a French 75, which traditionally has gin, our Pink 75 does not. Instead I went with vodka as that is what I had at home, however you could easily sub with gin. What can I say, I like to keep it simple! In fact, speaking of simple, this recipe only has 5 ingredients! Let’s get started…

Here’s what you need
Vodka
Sparkling Rosé
Guava Syrup
Strawberries
Lime

Step 1
Chop up a few fresh ripe strawberries and muddle in your cocktail shaker with fresh squeezed lime juice, I used the juice of one lime.
Step 2
Next add about a shot glass full of vodka and a shot glass full of the guava syrup to your cocktail shaker. I did just under a full shot, you know, to play it safe ;) Add ice and shake vigorously till well chilled.
Step 3
Strain into your desired glass, I chose a pretty coupe, and top with a sparkling rosé of your choice! For this cocktail I used a rosé with a brighter pink color.

Believe it or not, that’s it! An easy and simple cocktail that’s also delicious. Sign me up!

Cheers!
