It’s Gaming time!!!! Last Summer my son Cruz turned 7 and we decided to game all day! This guy loves playing video games and to make him happy I just went with it, haha! We had a gaming truck and a water slide and the boys were absolutely content! It was one of the first parties I threw where I only had kids and it was way easier than I thought! The gaming truck kept them busy and all was well, haha! Of course I had to go all out and have a cute set up, you know how we roll! Alison Bernier was kind enough to stop by and take some shots for me. If you have a gamer at home this party is the perfect inspiration, check it out below!
First things first! Greet your guests with a fun statement, and we did just that with our welcome sign from A Modern Detail.
And there’s my cutie birthday boy! Cruzy!!!
Of course he had to include his big brother, Court! I love these two too much!
Onto our party set up! For my color scheme I did shades of blue, green and black and white. A modern vibe with checkered details and lots of gaming touches. Sweet Salvage Rentals always makes it happen for me with her amazing furniture. I especially love those black chairs!
Obviously we had to sneak in some family pics!!! My hubby Nate was there for these then had to jet off to work so I got to host solo, haha! At least a few mamas hang with me for some rosé…
It’s been almost a year since this party and I can’t believe my baby will almost be 8 soon!
Back to this fun set up! Those amazing balloons are from my talented friend The Pop Shop and those amazing flower arrangements are by my OTHER talented friend Not Just in Novels. Lots of rad colors and textures and a touch of modern to make this one funky and fun!
Next, to set the table I used Jollity & Co’s cute checkered plates and layered them with black and blue. Then a grid like napkins and Sophisitplate’s modern flatware. The cups brought in a gamer detail as did the place card and stir sticks from A Modern Detail. It’s party time!
To up the fun factor I tossed confetti around, hey why not?!
The mix of colors in the balloons was perfection!
At last, dessert! For this party we just did one awesome cake since our party was smaller. Sheila Mae’s cakes never disappoint and this one was pretty rad if you ask me! The custom topper from A Modern Detail really completed it!
Gaming and water sliding – that’s really all you need on a 7 year old’s summer birthday party!
Obviously, it was the perfect day for my Cruz – Game over!!! Shop this fun party below!
