set your gifts apart from the rest.
Are you team ahead of the schedule or I’ll get to it in time for the holidays? If you are holding your hand up saying, “I’m on it!”, then you are sitting pretty right now. I may not have all our gifts, but I’m sure ready to wrap it all up! I think we can both say we are really into anything and everything has to be aesthetically pleasing as much as we can. We are always looking to create a fun experience for our family and friends to unwrap our holiday gifts. When it comes to gifts, gift-giving can vary. From hostess gifts to more personalized items for family and friends. The one thing in common is they all can be wrapped beautifully – AND not expensive to do! There are many ways to add creative and festive touches to your gifts- sparkle, fresh foliage, beautiful ribbons, ornaments, the list can go on and on. I’m showing you a couple of ways to give! Plus, the actual wrapping includes a gift within itself. How do you plan to wrap your gifts this year? Let us know!
HOSTESS GIFT GIVING
Hostess gift-giving can be a lot for the holidays. Party after party, event after event, neighbor after neighbor. My one answer to this is a pretty charcuterie board. Who turns down charcuterie boards? I feel they are the new cookie exchange gift. This idea is my go-to edible gift idea. It’s pretty, idelish, and it usually will give you an excuse to open up a bottle of wine. You can make them yourself or seek out someone who can whip them up for you!
HOW CAN I STEP UP MY WRAPPING?
Wrapping doesn’t have to be expensive or super fancy. I like to use a netural toned colors for wrapping, and add cute detailed elements that can be gifts within themselves for that extra special touch. I’m adding texture, prints, greenery, ornaments, and even food for those fun details.
Texture
Adding an art print or photo to a gift adds a nice element to the gift and one they can keep after and frame it. You can add a personal photo, a holiday-themed art print, or just a fun print like I did here with a checkered print. Wrapped it up with ribbon, and you are all set. Etsy has a lot of pretty downloadable prints that you can do for only a buck or two. I also love using colors that aren’t the usual red and green. Here we did a light pink, a rusty brown, and an olive green from the ribbon. It is my favorite color combo this year for Christmas. Speaking of texture, let’s talk Kraft paper. I’m all for the neutral-toned colors in my life. Kraft paper may seem basic, but you can add any color with it and it will vibe with its natural tone. Crinkle it up to add a cool texture!

AN ADDED BONUS GIFT
It’s all about the brass bells for holiday decorating within these past coupe years. Last year, I bought a set of brass vintage bells. I made them into ornaments, adding them to my olive tree greenery swag, and even attaching them to our family stockings. Add the bells to your gifts for that fun added gift. The gift receiver can add it to their tree to remember that year they got a fun wrapped gift. You go, girl! Look at that added detail.

ZERO WASTE CHRISTMAS
This might be my favorite way to gift give. You wrap up your gift with a eco-friendly, zero waste wrapping. You can use so many different options – from reusable tote canvas bags, linens like towels or napkins to use with the furoshaki style, or even some wax paper! Yes, crinkle that wax paper up, and add a pretty ribbon. Do you remember when you were little and your parents would have a giant trash bag ready to toss in all that wrapping paper? Well, you don’t have to do that anymore.
ZERO WASTE WRAPPING
GREENERY
This is pretty much a no-brainer. Adding any fresh greenery element to a gift, food, cocktail, or holiday decorations is the top way to add an elevated detail. Do yourself a favor, and throw in some herb seeds into your backyard. You will thank me! You will have yearly fresh herbs! All I have to do is walk out and clip some items and my gifts are looking and smelling good! This is a budget-friendly holiday gift secret. You can create a holiday herb bundle and add a pretty ribbon, create some rosemary wreaths, and clip some olive tree branches to tuck into some ribbon.
Any of these options are adding that special detail that anyone will love. It’s about taking the time to add a festive pretty touch and not how much that fancy wrapping paper was.
