Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies

By December 5, 2018 5 Comments

And visions of sugar plums danced in their heads…  This is the year of the Nutcracker for Beijos!  We have this fun inspired shoot today for the little ones and an adult version coming your way later this week.  Being a mom of boys there are certain things I have to come to terms with on missing without a girl.  I think getting dressed up and going to see the Nutcracker may be one of them!  We’ll see, hopefully my rowdy boys will be able to sit through it someday, but until then at least I have Beijos to help me get my fix!

We got some darling girls together to celebrate the holidays with a Sugar Plum Fairy Party.  A fun mix of pastel and metallic colors were in order, with lots of confetti and pretty desserts.  Plus, the girls are all dressed in their holiday best!  I’ve been dying to share this one, so here we go!!!

This party is also featured on 100LayerCakelet today!!
Any fancy party has a pretty invite and lots of tulle!!!  This one is by my lovely friend Courtney of Poppy Jack Shop.  Snow flakes and confetti plus a few pretty winter flowers did just the trick!
I set the table with Daydream Society’s beautiful snowflake holiday collection.  Yesterday we used their merry & bright collection – can they get any cuter over there with kid’s tabletop?!  L’entramise provided the amazing modern flatware – I am using it with all of my holiday parties in different colors, they have neutrals and a fun bright red!

Wild Darling Floral did the amazing flower arrangement.  I love how whimsical it is, the perfect touch of winter and still kid friendly.  The pretty linen is from Party Crush Studio, nothing like some pink velvet to dress up a table!  Some tinsel trees from the 99 Cent Store and Nutcrackers from West Elm were added, because why not?!  Aren’t they the cutest??
The confetti is from our favorite The Confetti Bar – one of my favorite touches to any party for a little extra detail!  She customizes a bag of confetti to your colors and theme, isn’t it amazing?!

Poppy Jack Shop did the cute laser cut drink stirrers of snowflakes and nutcrackers and also pretty ornament place cards.  I added velvet bows from The Daydream Republic for an extra detail, more cuteness from them later!!And of course the balloons!!!  What would this party be without them?!  Up Up in the Air is responsible for that beauty and I love them!!!  The perfect colors for this party, they nailed it!!!

And now I’m just going to post all the pictures because it’s just SO CUTE!!!Those flowers Wild Darling Floral – I’m obsessed!Oh and did I mention we had a balloon Christmas tree too?!?  Yesssssssssss!!!!!  Thank you Up Up in the Air!!!Moving on to desserts!!!  Sugar Crush Sweets went all out on this spread!  A pink snowflake cake, crystal cupcakes and macarons and snowflake cookies and donuts!!  A winter wonderland dream come true!!!
Those donuts are just breathtaking!!!!Now for our sugar plum fairies!!!  These little ladies were so sweet and had so much fun dressing up in the cutest accessories from The Daydream Republic!  She is selling all of these capes, leg warmers and hair accessories right now!  But hurry and grab them because they are going fast!

The girlies were made up by my favorite makeup and hair guru, Erica from 1011 Makeup.  Think lots of sparkle and the cutest hair styles you’ve ever seen!!!
All the adorable signage is by Poppy Jack Shop, of course!!So adorable right?!  I can’t get enough of the capes and the leg warmers!!!!  All of you girl moms better buy it all because I’m dying over here!!!Couldn’t finish this shoot with out some ballet poses!  These girls had so much fun getting dressed up!!  Love these smiles!!!
Was that enough sparkle for you??  Stay tuned for more on Friday!!  The adult version!
