BEIJOS COCKTAIL | APRIL 9, 2024

spring break all day, everyday.

Have you ever had an amazing cocktail on vacation and wished you could have it again once you’re back home? I totally get it! That’s why, with Spring break in full swing, I thought of creating a cocktail that will make you feel like you’re still on vacation, even if you’re just lounging in your living room. Think tropical flavors and all the good vibes that come with it, all in one glass! This cocktail is the ultimate Spring Break drink, with all the citrusy notes of the season, a hint of pineapple to transport you to a sunny beach, and colorful spring blossoms to garnish it with.

Ingredients

  • 1 ounce white rum
  • ½ ounce 1/2 ounce lime juice fresh-squeezed
  • ½ ounce 1/2 ounce orange juice fresh-squeezed
  • ½ ounce 1/2 ounce simple syrup
  • ½ ounce pineapple or passion fruit juice
  • Dried pineapple garnish
  • Dried edible flower garnish

Instructions

  • Let’s make a delicious cocktail! First, add all the tasty ingredients to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Now, give it a good shake for 20 seconds to make sure it’s perfectly blended.
  • Next, pour the mixture into a glass over 2 large ice cubes and don’t forget to add a dried pineapple or any kind of citrus, or even some driend eidlbe flower garnishes. Enjoy your amazing cocktail!
  • To make your own dried edible flowers, simply wash and dry the flower petals. Turn your oven on to 120 degrees F and spread your flowers out on a tray. If your flowers have thick buds or bases it will be best to separate them out and just dry the petals. This may take a while depending on the size and moisture levels of your flowers. It may take around a couple hours and gently turn and mix your flowers around during that time to help them dry evenly. Just be sure to keep an eye on them. I have had batches come out done in little as an hour and longer. Its all really depends on the size and the amount. Watch it closely for the 1st 30 min to determine how much time you will need.
