Are you getting ready for that neighborhood block party for the 4th? This week, we have some really cute ideas that will have you prepared to celebrate the good old U.S.A. Nothing says summer more than s’mores, and with this patriotic twist, you will be the hit of the 4th of July party or the coolest mom in the world! Either way, its a fun way to put a twist on the classic summer staple. And, you don’t need a open fire to do it.

Ok, we all know the assembly of a s’more right? Perfect! Just checking. But before, we do that, let’s change the color of the mallows. To do this, all we need to do is submerge them in a little bath of food coloring. So take a bowl, and put some food coloring in there mixed with some water, really only like a couple tablespoons of water mixed with a drop or two of the food coloring. The mallows will soak up the coloring. Dip each side into the bowl, a couple times. Then allow them to sit for a couple minutes. Once, they are fully dry and not super soggy, its time to assemble. Graham cracker, chocolate, mallow, followed by the top graham cracker. Then the fun part, using the torch! I like to torch both the chocolate and the mallow. Lightly do this, and then you are ready to go! I also like to lightly torch the top of the graham cracker too. This is a great option if you don’t have an open fire ready. You can also mircowave the smore as well. Top with a couple sprinkes and you are ready.
