Sweet Henry was turning 5 and his mom enlisted our help to make it special! A Pirate Party was in the works at one of our favorite little beaches in Orange County. We planned Henry’s 1st birthday here and since then his mom has taken over, but this year she wanted an extra helping hand! Anne, Henry’s mom, is very creative herself and is always fun to work with! We brought some pirate magic to the beach with a custom sand castle and sand castle making for the kids, lots of fun details and of course a pirate!! First, guests were greeted with the most adorable welcome sign from Chelcea Creative. They were asked to walk the plank into the party – love a good pirate pun! The sign was decked out with The Pop Shop’s incredible balloons and a fishing net, such a fun extra detail!
In addition to that greeting we had our friend Chris Crosson created this amazing custom sand castle display! Isn’t that the coolest?!
Second, we had a few tables that were set with all the pirate flair!! With pops of red in the plates and napkins and touches of gold with our adorable pirate plates and cups, this was the perfect pirate place setting!
Without a doubt we had the perfect florals and rentals to compliment our theme! Sweet Salvage Rentals brought out her rustic low tables, umbrellas and pillows. Likewise, Not Just in Novels added her touch with our beachy floral arrangements.
There’s our handsome birthday boy, Henry!!
Obviously Henry had to pose with our handsome pirate skeleton! The Pop Shop decked out this tree with amazing balloons including a Meri Meri pirate ship. Not only did we have an amazing backdrop but we also had swords! They were stored in a vintage chest for each little guest to take and play with!

Next up is our spread of treats with the most incredible balloon backdrop! The treats ranged from goodie bags, drinks for parents, and the most adorable desserts.
There’s something about a simple cake or cupcakes that you make adorable with the touch of a topper! The Meri Meri cake & cupcake toppers we found were the perfect detail. Plus, those incredible cookies from Sweets by Soph were such a wow factor! Her talent is truly amazing!!
This mother & son duo are the cutest!!! And I think we all need that pirate hat in our lives…
Meanwhile, it was time for sand castle making with Chris Crosson!!
Last but not least, a visit from Jack Sparrow himself!!! Does this guy not look like Johnny Depp?! Haha! He was so great!
Indeed, lots of pirate fun was had!
As you can see, everyone had a turn wearing the hats!!
At last it was time for our birthday boy to blow out his candles, make a wish Henry!!!
This was such a special day for one of our favorite families!!
