It’s her special day with family and friends and one of the key moments to prepare for her wedding day. We are sharing how we plan a shower for our clients with you today so you can make it as memorable and easy as possible! With the help of Harry & David after the decor is done the rest is as easy as a few clicks of the mouse for all your hosting needs. Take a look at Alison Bernier’s gorgeous photos and see for yourself!
Send out a Gorgeous Invitation
First impressions are everything and when it comes to a bridal shower that is the invitation! Sending out an invite, whether it be paper or electronic, is your first chance to make an impression on your guests. So make sure the invite flows with your theme and is as special as the day you are planning. This specific gorgeous invite suite is from the talented Kaylyn of Pirouette Paper, she always creates such magical details!
Choose a color scheme
One of the first things we discuss with clients in the planning process is a theme or color scheme for their event. Since bridal showers tend to not have a theme we usually plan on color scheme. For this particular shower we went with a lavender and blush colored theme. I thought it was a great end of summer color scheme as it can transition into fall easily. Plus, it’s unique and what bride wouldn’t love all of these gorgeous colors together?
Set Your Table
The table is the main attraction at a shower, so you really want to shine here! Follow your color scheme and choose pieces that compliment it. I chose a lavender plate, gold flatware, an apricot colored napkin and simple glassware. The plates are from Target, napkins are Hostess Haven and the rest is all from Signature Party Rentals.
Once you have those key elements down add the details! In this case we had gorgeous menus, place cards, and even wine tasting menus from Pirouette Paper! It’s the little details that your guests will remember.
Bring in the Decor!
Flowers are everything!! They make every event better! So be sure to add gorgeous blooms to your table and through-out the party. These stunning centerpieces are by the talented Tanya of Earth & Grace.
We also had balloons at our event and I can’t stress enough how much of a show stopper they are. Balloons can add such a fun pop of color to your party in a fun way. The Pop Shop is our go to gal for all things balloons!
Lastly, you can’t forget about rentals! The chairs and our cute little bar were all from Sweet Salvage Rentals.
Food & Drink
Any host knows that keeping your guests happy means having a steady flow of delicious bites and tasty drinks. I made these charcuterie cones and a tasty grazing board for guests to nibble on while drinking an amazing selection of wines. We also had yummy desserts for guests to grab and try as well. All of the food and drink was from Harry & David so it was a few easy clicks of the mouse on the computer and delivered straight to my door! Love that!
The best signage and the cutest little wine tasting menus c/o Pirouette Paper!
I placed the cute charcuterie cones at each place setting, it’s a fun way to display something so pretty and yummy!
I can never turn down a yummy charcuterie board! And Harry & David make it so easy to make one!
Make sure your guests glasses are full! Time to pour the wine – and I’m happy to do it! Also, loving my pretty Cleobella dress that matches our color scheme perfectly!
Here are those delicious desserts I talked about! I love having an assortment of treats for guests to choose from. Harry & David had the most delicious cookies, various cookies, and mini cakes to share. Everyone can have a bite of something yummy and flavorful!
And there you have it! A bridal shower to remember in 5 easy steps!
Cheers to hosting and making it as easy and pretty as possible!
