DO YOU REALLY EAT THE EDIBLE FLOWERS?

Many people often wonder if we consume the edible flowers that we put in our cocktails. The answer is, it depends. If the flowers are used to make ice cubes, then I usually finish the cocktail before the ice melts and releases all the flowers. However, sometimes I do take out the flowers after admiring the beautiful cocktail presentation. It’s completely up to you, but it’s worth a try because they are completely edible!

WHAT KIND OF LEMONADE IS THIS?

This lemonade is absolutely delicious, and it’s all thanks to the fresh lemons, grated ginger, agave nectar, and fresh mint and thyme. Trust me, these ingredients really make this cocktail stand out! You can add any type of alcohol you like, but I highly recommend vodka for the perfect flavor. However, if you prefer a non-alcoholic version, you can easily make a mocktail by leaving out the alcohol.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice about 6 large lemons
  • 6 cups of water
  • 1 cup of agave nectar or honey
  • 6 shots vodka, or your choice of booze
  • 4 large fresh mint and thyme combo
  • Confetti Mix Florals

Instructions

  • To prepare the floral disc ice spheres, you will need a sphere mold that you will find being used for various purposes such as ice, chocolate, soap, cake, etc. Fill the mold halfway with flowers and water. You can use as many or as little flowers as you like. Place the mold in the freezer for at least 6-8 hours, preferably overnight. Once the floral discs are fully frozen, you can leave them in the freezer until you're ready to serve your cocktails.
  • Let's mix up a refreshing cocktail! Combine fresh lemon juice, water, and agave nectar in a pitcher and mix until everything dissolves, especially the agave nectar.
  • Add the finely grated fresh ginger to the pitcher and let's get to stirring again.
  • Let's add some fresh mint leaves to the mix. When it's time to serve, grab a glass and add the pretty floral ice cubes. Then, pour in the boozy lemonade and top it off with some edible confetti flowers for a fun and tasty touch. Enjoy!
