Nutcracker Inspired Holiday Dinner Party

By December 7, 2018 No Comments

I told you that we had some more Nutcracker fun for you this week!  Now, it’s the ladies turn, the adult ladies that is!!  No, we don’t have balloons or sparkly capes – we have fur coats and champagne!!

The party was held at the most gorgeous home in Newport Beach, owned by Jody Burnham.  Her daughter Kirby is one of the ladies behind The Art of Being Female along with our client and my friend Alatheia.  Alatheia had recently taken a trip to Moscow and was in love with the Winter scenery along with the reminder of everyone’s favorite Christmas story – The Nutcracker. We took her recent travels as our inspiration for this beautiful dinner party.

You will drool over this stunning home and tablescape, along with all the delicious food prepared by Chef Ashton Keefe.  This party is also featured on Style Me Pretty Living today!

Photos by Sarah Noel Photography What a beautiful home… I still can’t get enough of it!  Right on the bay as well, how lucky am I to work in such an amazing setting!
We held the dinner in their atrium with windows from floor to ceiling on either side.  The stunning fire place was just asking to be dressed up for the holidays and we complied!  Suzanna from French Buckets adorned it with holiday greens and florals, and we added our favorite white nutcrackers from West Elm of course.  The table was set with gorgeous white and gold china and crystal cut glassware from Cherished Rentals. The rose gold napkins from Hostess Haven were a pretty compliment, along with the brass candlesticks and tapered candles.
French Buckets wowed us with her gorgeous florals along the table, I love the softer version of the holiday colors.  The talented Dirty Eraser did the most amazing art work for our invite and menus, also using our Russian inspiration.  Isn’t she so talented?!  We sprinkled faux snow, ornaments and nutcrackers along the table and it really felt so festive! Here are our beautiful hosts – Alatheia, Kirby and Chris of The Art of Being Female.  Along with the lovely Jody who welcomed us into her home.
The ladies were treated to a delicious holiday dinner by Ashton Keefe, she served a beautiful take on a classic like Beef Wellington which is always a crowd pleaser!  Ashton flew out from NYC to prepare this dinner, pretty amazing right?!
There’s that Beef Wellington!!The wine was selected and served by Argaux, a women owned sommelier service that always finds the best wines to go with our client’s meals. Our guests brought the glam!!!  In furs and sparkle, it was definitely an array of gorgeous holiday attire.
I had the pleasure of sitting next to these two beauties at the dinner – the talented Kelly Nutt and Chris Fenmore. The evening was also hosted by the ladies of Giovenizza Skincare. They taught us about how to take care of our skin and have it glowing year round, which was so informative
We all sat down to enjoy this gorgeous table and delicious meal.  It was so fun getting to know the other guests, that is me at the end of the table checking out the menu, ha!  I always love how the holidays bring people together, it’s such a festive time with so much to celebrate.  Thank you to my dear friend Alatheia for always including me and trusting Beijos in styling her events!
It was a beautiful evening in a beautiful home with beautiful ladies! A great way to kick off the holiday festivities!
