I recently read something about Citrus style – incorporating bright citrus colors into your wardrobe. Right away, I was into it! I love playing with color! Don’t get me wrong, white and black are classic and easy and a great staple. But having fun with color, especially citrus colors, just sounds so fun. With Summer quickly approaching it’s the perfect time to add these fun pops of color into your wardrobe.
I teamed up with Abby and we were both up for the challenge! We decided on four fruits – Lemon, Lime, Orange and Grapefruit. Each of us set out trying to find the perfect hue and way to incorporate these fun colors into our wardrobe, in a stylish way of course! It’s so fun to get creative with style and play around with it, especially if you have a friend to bounce ideas off of!

Lime
Abby took on lime as one of her colors, and she was not excited about it at first! Haha! But I have to say, I think it ended up being the best outfit of all! And I have to admit, when she sent me this outfit, I was skeptical, but it’s so cute! She got really creative with a top by Rollas and pants by Lovers & Friends, a combo that is so chic and also fun! I could totally see her in this on a fabulous vacation in Mexico or the Caribbean! Can someone send her husband a memo that a trip must be planned because of this outfit?!
Grapefruit
When I think of citrus I don’t think of grapefruit, but because of Abby, now I do! This Rachel Pally dress is so freaking comfy you guys, and honestly, I think better in person. I love the flutter sleeves and the midi length. I paired it with these wooden platform heels that I rarely wear but are always fun when I do! Disclaimer – please forgive my huge breastfeeding tatas – insert disgusted Emoji face. Isn’t motherhood grand?!
Orange
Abby is just feeling all kinds of sexy in today’s post! Seriously, someone notify her husband, it’s time to whisk the wifey away!! This maxi dress is all good parts boho and sultry, I mean that leg slit, meow!! With a dress like that, you just need some simple sunnies and a clutch, because it does all the talking!
Lemon
If you know me, then you know I’m a huge yellow fan, so I was all over the lemon!! However, I have to say, it definitely looks better on me when I have a tan… Hurry up Summer! I’m also a huge maxi dress advocate, like seriously, my closet is basically taken over by them! This maxi by Privacy Please caught my eye right away. It’s sold out now but they still have the same print and color in a skirt, and it’s on SALE!
