Floral Wreath Crowned Easter Eggs DIY

By March 22, 2018 No Comments

We are hopping into the 1st days of Spring with these floral wreath crowned easter eggs. Now, who wouldn’t want to wear a floral crown all day? I know I would! Last year when I did our all natural dyed Easter eggs, I told myself next year you have to do floral crowns for these little eggs. I have been getting my easter egg decorating on for a couple years now on the blog, and there is one thing I learned is to use faux eggs and/or [amazon_textlink asin=’B00505QQ94′ text=’wooden eggs’ template=’ProductLink’ store=’beijosevents-20′ marketplace=’US’ link_id=’53b14ea8-2d5c-11e8-93e4-f71a74a1dcb6′] this way you can keep these little nuggets around for years. These ladies were fun to make, another great mama activity after the kids go to bed. Grab some vino, and you have yourself a little mama crafting session.

Here is the girl squad.

Faux Eggs or [amazon_textlink asin=’B00505QQ94′ text=’Wooden Eggs’ template=’ProductLink’ store=’beijosevents-20′ marketplace=’US’ link_id=’9f4ab142-2dd0-11e8-bc2f-1318a1e68287′] Fake and Real Flowers (I got mine at Joanne’s fabric store)

Now, this is pretty easy to do. Simply, just make floral crowns, ha! I started from one side and worked and layered my way to the other side. I started with some fake flowers and then sprinkled in some real ones for detail. Each egg was different from the next! Now when using all real flowers, you know those suckers will die and wilt, so don’t be sad when they do. So using all fake flowers is fine! I’m sure you know, be careful with the glue gun! To make the bunny ears, I took some jewelry wire and formed some ears, and then glue them to the egg. Covering the bottom wire with the flowers.

When buying the fake flowers, look for tiny ones. Big flowers will obviously not work here. Look for ones that are maximum an 1/2 inch small. Any more significant, and it will look funny and oversized on the eggs.

This little lady here I think is my favorite! Another tip, when using fake flowers, pull off the flower heads from the stem. This makes it much easier to glue on and add to the egg.

Can you see the wire? Nope! Cover your work with the flowers. Easy huh!

This is one of the ladies that won’t stay out for long with all fresh flowers, but she is a beaut. So enjoy her while she lasts.

There you have it! Happy Spring everyone!
