Us Beijos Ladies are happy to announce our latest collaboration with the talented and kind Isabel Guzman of Mandarinas de Tela!!
We are huge fans of her talent and have even purchased a few of her dolls for our littles. Her dolls are all hand made and hand painted, and as she says on her Etsy profile “each one is created with dedication and love”.
Working with Isabel we see the true and genuine person she is, living in Santiago, Chile and creating true works of art! She describes her dolls as “representing that childish soul we all carry within through an object” which we loved… When we started working on this collaboration we were inspired by our own childhoods and who we looked up to in the 80’s and still cherish and love and who we would want to share with our own children! Our dolls are below and we are so excited with how they turned out!!! The dolls run $80.50 + shipping, take 2 weeks to make and take 2-3 weeks to ship to the US, faster shipping is available for a higher fee. We are excited to hear what you think!!! She is the undisputed queen of pop!! Like a virgin was the first cassette I made my mom buy me, still love it and always will. I love anything she does now. She’s always friends with the coolest famous people. Hehe! All female pop stars copy her and when you wanna dance she is one of the best artists to dance to!
Prince was chosen by yours truly, Jacquelyn Kazas… Here’s why I love the purple one…
My love affair with Prince started at a young age when I would sit on my Auntie Mary’s lap and “drive” her BMW and listen to Raspberry Beret, it was my jam… Fast forward to dating my husband through the majority of my 20’s and finding out we both shared this love!! We would make annual trips to Vegas to see “Purple Reign”, a Prince cover band. When he toured a few years ago we knew we HAD to see him, so we went with my sister and friends, and bought nose bleed seats. Miraculously a guy came up to us and asked if we wanted to sit in the pit by the stage, we of course said YES!!! It was the BEST night ever, and the last song played at our wedding was of course… Purple Rain.
Our little Abby Guido has always been a huge MJ fan and for he, he was a MUST!! She often sports her Michael Jackson t-shirt ;) I mean, seriously, who doesn’t love Michael!?
And last but not least… Our own original creation with Isabel inspired by your’s truly… The Beijos Doll!
She’s bohemian and a free spirit with flowers in her hair and moccasins on her feet… Get yours to look like your own little lady with any color hair!
