Summer Entertaining- Bar Cart

By June 20, 2016 One Comment

Continuing our mini series on summer entertaining, we are gathering around the bar cart this summer! The bar cart is one of our favorites pieces to style for entertaining. We have some amazing brands and vendors that came and played with us to show you how you can create a pretty summer bar cart.

See all the details on SMP Living tomorrow!!

Starting with Edyta Szyszlo’s beautiful succulent images that we used thru out our design. The succulents just scream summer to us, and we loved the bright colors of pinks and greens.

When doing a bar cart inside, add some art above the cart.

Every bar cart should have flowers!

It’s summer and you want it to be bright and fun! We used bright pops of pink and yellows. Can you say gorgeous!?! What’s even better its that summer brings us PEONIES!! Favorite time of the year! Use flowers wherever you can on your bar cart. Have one big centerpiece on the top and use smaller arrangements on the bottom to fill in empty spots on the cart. You can even add plants as well.

Another key element to achieving the perfect bar cart…

What’s a bar cart without alcohol? A lame one if you ask us! Warm weather reminds us of tropical places, so we incorporated some tropical vodka for this summer bar cart. Heritage Distilling Co. has a great selection of vodkas perfect for summer!

Pretty glassware from The Little Market is a must! The floral detail on the margarita glasses fits in perfectly.

There you have it! A fun, pretty, bright and colorful bar cart just in time for summer!

5 essential tips for entertaining using your bar cart….

1. When entertaining with a bar cart, its a must you have all the pretty essentials. I love to have a fun cocktail shaker, personalized napkins for your guests, and lastly fun cocktail stirrers!
2. Style it up! Style your bar cart to wow your guests. Most likely your bar cart stays out for all to see. Use items like cocktail books and some fun glassware to jazz it up. When having people over add fresh items to add an organic feel to it. I like to have a wooden cutting board with fresh lemon and limes out. Use cute ceramic bowls and add some yummy nuts for your guests to munch on.
3. Have more then one choice of cocktails for your guests. I like options, and so will your guests. Heritage Distilling has tropical flavored vodkas that I like to use for summer entertaining.
4. Theme it up! I found that a lot of people like a theme to their parties. You don’t have to go crazy, but it sets the mood and scene for the night. You can do something simple like a tropical theme or even a succulent theme.
5. Music Music Music! Its a must, no one likes a quiet party. Awkward! Make a fun playlist that you know your guests will enjoy. Save some classic good time tunes for the end of the night!
